Patagonia is large, very large. If you want to visit some of the more popular spots in one trip, you will need to take multiple flights.

Ushuaia: A short car ride will take to see penguins, if you book through Piratour you can walk on the island itself.

El Calafate: The town is small and one of the more rural of the locations mentioned in these tips.

El Calafate: A short car/bus ride out of town will take you to Perito Moreno glacier. This glacier is truly humbling to behold. you can view it from the lookout or by boat.

Torres del Paine: Torres del Paine is a national park across the border from El Calafate. As it is in Chile it will take a few hours to drive there. Torres del Paine is known for its blue glacial melt lakes, towering mountains, and wildlife.

Bariloche: Cerro Catedral, just outside of Bariloche, offers amazing skiing and breathtaking views that can be enjoyed any time of year.

Bariloche: perfect starting location to explore the surrounding lakes district.

Villa la Angostura: you can rent kayaks or bikes here to explore the surrounding lakes and forestsParque Nacional Los Arrayanes is a must.

Ruta de los Siete Lagos: Just under 70 miles of the most scenic landscapes you will ever see. Take your time and visit the villages and lake shores.

Ushuaia: the southernmost city in the world. Flanked by towering mountains to the north and the Beagle channel to the south, you can spend a day taking in the beauty of the town.

Ushuaia: Parque Yatana, Paseo Centenario, and Plaza Islas Malvinas are all parks worth a visit while you are there.

El Calafate: Directly adjacent to the town is Reserva Laguna Nimez. Laguna Nimez is a beautiful nature preserve home to a wide variety of birds including flocks of flamingos.

El Calafate: One of the more popular spots in the town is the Yeti Ice Bar.

Bariloche: Perched on a lake in northern Patagonia, Bariloche is popular tourist destination for snow sports, waterspouts, and chocolate.

Bariloche: Being a popular destination the town offers many restaurants and shops to partake. They are known for their chocolate.

Villa la Angostura: Just north of Bariloche this town is much smaller and quieter, while still offering similar comforts to that of Bariloche. If you want to avoid the crowds, stay here.

Villa la Angostura: The main street offers a wide variety of bars and restaurants to enjoy.

Ruta de los Siete Lagos: There is no shortage of hikes. Find a trailhead and head out!

Cost: Cheap (based of the dollar)

Depending on the political climate you can expect the dollar to have a lot of buying power in Argentina. While I was there restaurants and travel expenses were around half of the expected price.
